A specific form of polymorphic ventricular tachycardia in patients with a long QT interval. It is being characterized by irregular, rapid and QRS complexes, which appear to be twisting around the ECG baseline. The arrhythmia may cease spontaneously or degenerate into ventricular fibrillation.</span>
