Hey there!

Usually in equations, to clear the denominator, we multiply both sides by it. In our case here, the denominator is one, so when we multiply both sides by one we get the same thing. We can just remove the denominator:

c - 7 = 3

Using the property of equality which states that you do the same thing to both sides and get an equal equation, we can add seven to both sides in an effort to isolate x to get:

c = 10

To check, we plug in 10 for c:

10 - 7 = 3

3 = 3 (check!)

Hope this helps!

Une boxes.
Find:
5% of 90 m =
m
25% of 88 kg =
kg
75% of 264 =
makkiz [27]

Answer:

1) 5% of 90m= 4.5m

2)25% of 88kg = 22kg

3) 75% of 264= 198

Step-by-step explanation:

1) 90m = 100% (divide by 10)

9 = 10% (divide by 2)

4.5 = 5%

2) 88kg = 100% (keep on dividing by 2)

44kg = 50%

22kg=25%

3) 264 = 100%

132 = 50%

66 = 25% (add)

198=75%

1.64 as a mixed number in simplest form
garri49 [273]
By taking a look at 1.64, you can already tell the 1 will be the whole number in the fraction. So let's focus on .64. 0.64 is in the hundredths place value, so the denominator will be 100. The unsimplified fraction would be 1 64/100. To put this in simplest form we must divide 64 and 100. Let's start off with 2. 64/2 = 32 100/2 = 50 Let's continue until we can not divide by 2 anymore. 32/2=16 50/2 = 25 We can no longer divide by 2, howver there is not other number we can divide by both 16 and 25 evenly. The answer in simplest form is 1 16/25

Using mixed numbers, write a problem in which an estimate is enough to solve the problem.

Estimating Differences of Fractions and Mixed Numbers

Estimating Differences of Fractions and Mixed NumbersRecall that estimation is a method for finding an approximate solution to a problem. Even when you are asked to find an exact ko, estimation is a useful way to get an idea of a reasonable solution to a problem. Once you have found an exact answer, you can check your answer against the estimate.
