<u>Protection of civil liberties as well as protection of civil rights is the most Fundamental political value in the American society.It is defined in civil liberties regarding all the specific rights the people are entitled to. </u> For instance, Bill of rights which is there in the first amendment guarantees the citizens the right to practice whatever religion they wish to follow and government can’t interfere in the freedom of worship of any citizen. This amendment provided liberties to the individuals from the actions of the government.  

Majority of people in the United States think that civil rights and liberties as the principals that protects them from the freedoms of all times. <u>During the ratification of the constitution took place, Federalists and Anti Federalists were in opposition to each other and were of a disagreement that how individual liberties and rights are protected under the constitution. </u>
