D. Impossible to Disprove

The word “conclusive” means indisputable (Note: literal meaning = denotation). In the sentence, we can see that the statement says that “because of evidence….” Evidence is something that can provide a basis for thinking something happened—proof—in so much that one need not have had to experience something first hand or directly in order believe it happened. Thus, because the attorney made a claim that evidence provided enough information in order to make something indisputably believable without question, we know that what is denoted is "impossible to disprove."

The underlined word of the sentence which "conclusive" would have a denotation of "impossible to disprove" as it is used in the sentence. Furthermore, a denotation is the "literal" meaning of a word or some may refer to it as the "dictionary definition or meaning."

Hillenbrand writes, "As Louie blazed through college, far away, history was turning" (p. 43). Why does the author interrupt Loui
liubo4ka [24]

Explanation: This is a passage related to the work "Unbroken" by American author Laura Hillenbrand. The writer interrupts Louis's story by inserting information about Japan and Germany, thus better informing readers of the background of the story. The broader picture of Zamperini is acquired in this way, that is, how Zamperini's life can be changed by war. Although Louis Zamperini may have had different plans after participating in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, his plans were interrupted by the war. Although he had some plans of his own, he never dreamed that he would survive a plane crash in the Pacific Ocean, swim for 47 days on a raft and spend two and a half years in three brutal Japanese camps. The idea is that the world around us changes as often as we don't want it to.

The Road Not Taken
by Robert Frost Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, l
creativ13 [48]
The theme of "The Road Not Taken" deals with choice. The speaker is standing in a wood trying to figure out which road to take. He eventually takes the one "less travelled by," and speaks highly of his decision: "that has made all the difference." As the poem progresses we find that there is no right or wrong choice in the speaker's mind. the paths are "as just as fair" as one another. Also, both "equally" are leaf covered. So it is not that he chose the right road, but that he "took" the road. Either road would've done just fine.
