Sam is measuring the velocity of a car at different times. After two hours, the velocity of the car was 50km/h. After six hours,

the velocity of the car is 54km/h.
Part A: Write an equation in two variables in standard form that can be used to describe the velocity of the car at different times. Show your work and define the variables used. (5points)

Part B: How can you graph the obtained in Part A for the first seven hours? (5points)

You are given the time and speed so from there you can get the points (2,50) and (6,54) once you got that you can see how the slope is 1 and
b=48
x-y=-48 (standard form)

part B=
1    49
2    50
3    51
4    52
5    53
6    54
7    55

Find x. Round to the nearest degree.

The Law of Cosines features the 3 side lengths of a triangle, plus the measure of the angle opposite one of those sides.

We want angle x, which is opposite the side of length 39.

Then: a^2 = b^2 - 2ab cos C becomes 39^2 = 36^2 + 59^2 - 2(36)(59)cos x

or 1521 = 3481 + 1296 - 2(36)(59) cos x

Subtract (3481+1296) from both sides: 1521 - 4777 = -4248cos x

-3256 = -4248cos x

-3256

Then: cosx = --------------- = 0.766

-4248

Solving for x: x = arccos -0.766 = 0.698 radian, or 40 degrees (answer)

What is solution of 5+3(y-4)=5(y+2)-y
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

y = -17

Step-by-step explanation:

5 + 3(y - 4) = 5(y + 2) - y        Distribute

5 + 3y -12 = 5y + 10 - y          Combine like terms

-7 + 3y = 4y + 10

+7                 +17                    Add 17 to both sides

3y = 4y + 17

-4y   -4y                                 Subtract 4y from both sides

-y = 17                                     Divide both sides by -1

y = -17

The Hoskins family spend $600 per month on groceries for their family. If this is 15% of their monthly budget, what is there mon
Varvara68 [4.7K]

Hi!

We will find the monthly budget using proportions, like this:

15% = 0,15___________600$

100% = 1_____________x$

__________________________

x = (600*1)/0,15

x = 600/0,15

x = 4000

Their monthly budget is 4000$.

Hope this helps!
