A 95% confidence  interval on the z-table is 1.96.

Now find the standard error using the formula: standard deviation /  square root sample size:

0.7 / √100 = 0.07

Multiply to the confidence interval: 1.96 x 0.07 = 0.137 = 0.14

Now add and subtract tot he average weight:

14 - 0.14 = 13.86

14 + 0.14 = 14.14

The answer is 13.96 ≤ u ≤ 14.14

Reika [66]

Answer:

30/7

Step-by-step explanation:

Distribute:

-2x-26+9x=4

Combine like terms:

7x-26=4

Add 26.

7x=30

Divide by 7:

x=30/7.

Hope this helps :D

Harrison can purchase 4 dvds for $19.99 or 6 dvds for $22.50 which is the better deal?
adelina 88 [10]

$19.99 x 4 = $79.96

$22.50 x 6 = $135

$19.99 x 6 = $119.94

$22.50 x 4 = $90

The best answer to this choice is 4 dvds for $19.99. why?, because if it was 6 or 4 dvds for $19.99 the price would be more inexpensive then the price for $22.50, because if it was 22.50 x 4 or 6 dvds the price would be more expensive.

. If IQ scores are normally distributed with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 5, what is the probability that a person
bulgar [2K]

Answer:

2.28% probability that a person selected at random will have an IQ of 110 or greater

Step-by-step explanation:

Problems of normally distributed samples are solved using the z-score formula.

In a set with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the zscore of a measure X is given by:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

The Z-score measures how many standard deviations the measure is from the mean. After finding the Z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score. This p-value is the probability that the value of the measure is smaller than X, that is, the percentile of X. Subtracting 1 by the pvalue, we get the probability that the value of the measure is greater than X.

In this problem, we have that:

\mu = 100, \sigma = 5

What is the probability that a person selected at random will have an IQ of 110 or greater?

This is 1 subtracted by the pvalue of Z when X = 110. So

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

Z = \frac{110 - 100}{5}

Z = 2

Z = 2 has a pvalue of 0.9772

1 - 0.9772 = 0.0228

2.28% probability that a person selected at random will have an IQ of 110 or greater

a manned rocket accelerates at a rate of 20 m/s2 during launch How long does it take the rocket reach a velocity of 400 m/s?
marshall27 [118]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

acceleration, a = 20 m/s^2

initial velocity, u = 0 since it starts from rest

final velocity, v = 400 m/s

v = u + at

400 = 0 + 20 t

400 = 20 t

t = 400 / 20

<u><em>t = 20 sec</em></u>

Hope this helps
