The Nile River affected settlement distribution in ancient Egypt because individuals largely settled along the banks of the river and in the fertile regions in the delta and along the river. Because the territory in this region is largely desert the peoples of ancient Egypt largely settled in areas near to the water source which was the source of life.

The North didn’t believe in slavery and the south did. The constitution divided them because they both believed in different things. In the South there was more plantations so they needed slaves to keep up the production when the North was cold and didn’t need much help on plantations.
