While intuition has been said to negatively influence our thought processes, research has found a few contradictions. Summarize
Liono4ka [1.6K]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

While intuition has been said to negatively influence our thought processes, research has found a few contradictions. Research has found that intuition has resulted in negative influences because people do not really believe in their intuitions or considered that it's not something serious. These people are so used to believe in logic and the use of reason in order to make decisions.

So research has concluded that to follow intuition, people have to believe that is a real form of communication with your inner being. If you believe in it, something positive will happen.

The key is to believe it's real. If not, the brain will not allow for a reasoned explanation of the phenomenon of intuition.

bearhunter [10]
This passage is essentially about the Gold Rush. The author wants the reader to know that the illusion of "striking it rich," was a fallacy. Clappe says, "<span>I have discovered my mistake. . . . . . . To be sure, there are now and then “lucky strikes.” Once a person took $256 out of a single basinful of soil. But such luck is as rare..." She also says that she only brings in about $6 to $8 a day. Louise was apologizing to the reader, but also seemed to be self pitying herself. She had heard about the fortune and fame and ran toward it without heeding others and learning more about the supposed "gold rush." Ms. Clappe was genuinely disheartened and miserable and was hoping to advise others not to follow her foolish mistake. </span>
