The correct answer to the question is: B

Judging by the word choice from the quotation "Bushnell was hooked and he would sneak into the computer lab late at night to play." it could be deduced that the meaning of the phrase is negative.

Hooked means enjoy something so much that a person is unable to stop doing it.

Sneak means go somewhere secretly, keep something in secret.

Both of these verbs have negative connotation.

Which of the following was a balance that helped prevent major civil unrest in the United States in the first part of the 1800s?
aev [14]
A makes the most sense. here's why: nobody cared if there was a balance of outlawed and allowed slavery states. so b is out. people might have cared about c but not as much because maintaining a balance in votes was more important. There was no need for a balance in cotton and iron. So b c and d all have to do with slavery and a is the outcast so the answer would have to be A.
