Answer:

Physical

Explanation:

chemical

Means its structure has completely changed- it is not the same hunk of stuff that it was before, at least atomically.

nuclear

Only deals with (mainly) radioactive elements, whether it be something changing them or it changing that something.

Physical-

Deals with visible changes, such as shape, size, color, or state of matter.

Phase-

A phase is where a material is at right now.

Atomic-

Same with chemical, this would mean a whole change in element.

It's a physical change. A physical change is when an object can return back to it's previous state, etc. If it was a chemical change, the object would not be able to return back to it's previous shape, state or size, etc.

A metal object has a mass of 8.37g. When it was in a graduated cylinder containing 20.0 ml of water, the water level rose to 23.
Yuri [45]

Mass of metal is 8.37 g, volume of water in graduated cylinder is 20 mL. After adding the metal, water level increases to 23.1 mL. The volume of metal is equal to the increase in water level.

The increase in water level can be calculated by taking difference of final and initial level of water.

Thus,

V_{metal}=V_{f}-V_{i}=(23.1-20)mL=3.1 mL

Density of metal is defined as mass per unit volume of metal. It can be calculated as follows:

d=\frac{m}{V}=\frac{8.37 g}{3.1 g/mL}=2.7 g/mL

This value corresponds to the density of aluminum.

Therefore, density is 2.7 g/mL and metal is aluminum.

The decomposition of potassium chlorate into kcl & o2 is used as a source of oxygen in the laboratory. How many moles of pot
fredd [130]

Answer:

10moles of kcl

Explanation:

2 K C l O3 →  2 K C l  +  3 O 2

Notice that you have a  2 : 3  mole ratio between potassium chlorate and oxygen gas, which means that, regardless of how many moles of the former react, you'll always produce 2/3 times more moles of the latter.

15 mol of O2 * ((2mol of KCLO3)/(3mol of O2))= 15*2/3=10 Mol
