Per capita income is the measure of the amount of money earned per person a geographic region. The formula is total income of area divided by the total population.
Sport tourism means that people travel for the sake of doing sports, so for example to ski. This creates jobs, for example directly:
- sport trainers (who typically are not locals)
- work in the infrastructure, for example the maintenance of the slopes
- work in accomodation, for example in hotels (also often not a local staff)
or indireclty
- shops and restaurants get more revenue and might employ more people
-since the whole region is more better-off, the locals might also spend more, for example on entertainment (cinemas could employ more staff)
