I believe the correct answers are:

<span>UV = 14 ft and m∠TUV = 45°</span>
<span>ST = 20 ft, UV = 14 ft, and m∠UST = 98°

Or, in other words, Options A and D.

Answer:-The first and fourth information can be the additional information to show that ΔSTU ≅ ΔVTU by SAS.

Explanation:-

Given :- In ΔSTU and ΔVTU

SU=14ft , VT=20 ft ,m∠SUT=45° and m∠TUV=98°

The given additional information:-

1.UV = 14 ft and m∠TUV = 45°

Then SU=UV = 14 ft   [given]

m∠TUV =m ∠SUT=45°  [given]

TU=TU [Reflexive property]

⇒ΔSTU ≅ ΔVTU [SAS congruence postulate]

2. TU = 26 ft

⇒ Not enough information to prove triangles congruent.

3. m∠STU = 37° and m∠VTU = 37°

⇒m∠STU = 37° =m∠VTU = 37° [Transitive property]

And TU=TU[Reflexive property]

But we need one more information to prove them congruent.

4. ST = 20 ft, UV = 14 ft, and m∠UST = 98°

ST = 20 ft=TV  [given]

m∠UST = 98°=m∠UVT [given]

TU=TU  [Reflexive property]

⇒ΔSTU ≅ ΔVTU [ SAS postulate]

5. m∠UST = 98° and m ∠TUV = 45°

m∠UST = 98°=m∠UVT [given]

TU=TU   [Reflexive property]

m ∠TUV = 45°=∠TUS [given]

⇒ΔSTU ≅ ΔVTU  [AAS congruence theorem]

Thus the first and fourth information can be the additional information to show that ΔSTU ≅ ΔVTU by SAS.

Explain why you think it is or is not possible to give the exact length of the circumference as a decimal.
Naddik [55]

Answer:

It is not possible.

Step-by-step explanation:

How exact is exact? Since the circumference of a circle depends on pi, you have to discuss the nature of pi. C = pi * the diameter.

You are getting to a place where the air is pretty thin when you start dealing with pi. Pi has an infinite number of digits associated with it. Not only that, but if I were to tell you what the 100th digit was, you would have a random chance of figuring out what the 99th digit was or the 101 digit should be, that's only to the hundredth digit. The circumference would go beyond what we can measure with the thousandth digit.

In addition, pi is an irrational number. That means it cannot be represented by any kind of a fraction.

Which answer shows this equation written in standard form?
STatiana [176]
4-3(x-y)=-8x+2
=4-3x-3y=-8x+2
=4-3x+8x-3y-2
=5x-3y+2
or
5x-3y=-2
so it will be C=5x+3y=-2

If two standard six-sided dice are tossed, what is the probability that a 5 is rolled on at least one of the two dice? express y
zaharov [31]
We define the probability of a particular event occurring as:
\frac{number\ of \ desired\ outcomes}{number\ of\ possible\ outcomes}

What are the total number of possible outcomes for the rolling of two dice? The rolls - though performed at the same time - are <em>independent</em>, which means one roll has no effect on the other. There are six possible outcomes for the first die, and for <em>each </em>of those, there are six possible outcomes for the second, for a total of 6 x 6 = 36 possible rolls.

Now that we've found the number of possible outcomes, we need to find the number of <em>desired</em> outcomes. What are our desired outcomes in this problem? They are asking for all outcomes where there is <em>at least one 5 rolled</em>. It turns out, there are only 3:

(1) D1 - 5, D2 - Anything else, (2), D1 - Anything else, D2 - 5, and (3) D1 - 5, D2 - 5

So, we have \frac{3}{36} = \frac{1}{12} probability of rolling at least one 5.

What are the possible values of x if (4x - 5)2 = 49? Check all that apply.<br> uw we we
kogti [31]

Answer:

x = - \frac{1}{2}, x = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

(4x - 5)² = 49 ( take the square root of both sides )

4x - 5 = ± \sqrt{49} = ± 7 ( add 5 to both sides )

4x = 5 ± 7, thus

4x = 5 - 7 = - 2 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = \frac{-2}{4} = - \frac{1}{2}

or

4x = 5 + 7 = 12 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 3

As a check

Substitute these values into the left side of the equation and if equal to the right side then they are the solutions.

x = - \frac{1}{2}

left side = (- 2 - 5)² = (- 7)² = 49 = right side ⇒ solution

x = 3

left side = (12 - 5)² = 7² = 49 = right side ⇒ solution
