It will take Nayeli 4 days
I got this answer by dividing 50÷1/4 which equals 12.5. If Nayeli plans to swim 1/4 mile each day until she has reached 50 miles, she would've done 12.5 miles per day. To check if I am correct, multiply 12.5×4 and it will equal to 50. (also, I did 25÷2 to get 12.5. The reason I did this is because 25 is half of 50, so to split it into 4 I had to make 25 half of what it already is)

John paid $450 for a new mountain bicycle to sell in his shop. He wants to price it so that he can offer a 10% discount but stil
Ghella [55]

Answer:

$643.50

Step-by-step explanation:

Let i be the profit realized from the sale and d be the discount made on the sale:

#John's selling price can be calculated by first adding profit, i to $450, the d to the new price as:

P_n=P_o(1+i)+d[P_o(1+i)]\\=450(1+0.3)+0.1[450(1+0.3)]\\\\\\=450\times 1.3+0.1(450\times1.3)\\\\=585+58.5\\\\=643.50

Hence, John will resell the bike at $643.50

Scott has a rope 8 metres long. He says, “I need 9 pieces each 0.89 metres long.’’ Will Scott have enough ribbon?
Lelechka [254]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

How did it go from "rope" to "ribbon", therefore, the statement is incorrect. This is a man-made equation that clearly has a mistake. If it was to say, "Will Scott have enough rope?" then the answer will be "YES"
