Answer:

The mean means average. To find it, add together all of your values and divide by the number of addends. The median is the middle number of your data set when in order from least to greatest. The mode is the number that occurred the most often.

Mode is the answer that shows up the most, for example if your numbers were 10, 10, 14, 17, 19, the mode would be 10.

You find the median by putting the numbers in order from least to greatest, and finding the number in the middle of those, for example 10, 10, 14, 17, 19, the median would be 14.

The mean is subtracting the smallest number from the largest number, using my example that would be 19-10, so the mean is 9, if that makes any sense.

What is 9.66 rounded to the nearest tenth
nikitadnepr [17]
9.66
   ^ This is the tenths place.

Look at the number after it, if it's 5 or more we round up, if it's 4 or less we round down.

The number is 6, so we round up to 9.7.

How do you use numerical expressions to solve real-world problems?
PilotLPTM [1.2K]
There are many ways to do this, if you wanted to write a numerical expression for: Lauren had $7 she babysits for three hours and earned $8.50 per hour, you would write 7+3x8.50=M. It is much shorter and makes much more sense to write this expression than to write a whole story

Find the slope PLEASE HELP
alexira [117]

Answer:

-1/4

-1/4

1

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope is obtained thus :

(y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

Slope ST :

S(1, 4) ; T(5, 3) ;

x1 = 1, y1 = 4 ; x2 = 5 ; y2 = 3

Slope ST = (3 - 4) / (5 - 1) = - 1 / 4

Slope TU :

T(5, 3) ; U(3, 1)

x1 = 5, y1 = 3 ; x2 = 3 ; y2 = 1

Slope TU = (1 - 3) / (3 - 5) = - 2/ - 2 = 1

Slope UV :

U(3, 1) ; V(-1, 2)

x1 = 3, y1 = 1 ; x2 = - 1 ; y2 = 2

Slope UV = (2 - 1) / (-1 - 3) = 1 /-4 = - 1/4

Slope SV:

S(1, 4) ; V(-1, 2)

x1 = 1, y1 = 4 ; x2 = - 1, y2 = 2

Slope SV = (2 - 4) / (-1 - 1) = - 2 / - 2 = 1
