The answer is choice A

===============================================

Work Shown:

-np - 5 \le 4(c-2)

-np - 5+5 \le 4(c-2)+5 Adding 5 to both sides

-np \le 4(c-2)+5

-np \le 4(c)+4(-2)+5 Distributive Property

-np \le 4c-8+5

-np \le 4c-3

n*(-p) \le 4c-3

\frac{n*(-p)}{-p} \ge \frac{4c-3}{-p} See note below

n \ge -\frac{4c-3}{p}

So that's why the answer is choice A

Note: In this step, I divided both sides by -p. Dividing both sides of an inequality by a negative number will flip the sign. So that's why we go from a "less than or equal to" sign to a "greater than or equal to" sign.

A bag has 2 mint cookies, 1 donut, and 4 wafer cookies. Two items are drawn one at a time without replacement. What is the proba
fgiga [73]

Answer: 1/21

Step-by-step explanation:

total = 2 + 1 +4 = 7

1/7 x 2/(7-1) = 2/42

2/42 simplifies to 1/21

1/7: 1 doughnut out of a total of 7 items

2/(7-1): 2 mint cookies are available in the pool out of 6 items -> since one item has already been chosen without replacement, so now the total is 6.

Make a table of ordered pairs for the equation.
kykrilka [37]

Answer:

To form the table,

we substitute some value of x to find its value of y

When x = -2,

⇒ y = 1/2(-2) - 3 = -4

When x = - 1

⇒ y = 1/2(-1) - 3 = -3.5

When x = 0.

⇒ y = 1/2(0) - 3 = -3

When x = 1

⇒ y = 1/2(1) - 3 = -2.5

When x = 2

⇒ y = 1/2(2) - 3 = -2

????(−2, 10) is the midpoint of . If ???????? has coordinates (4, −5), what are the coordinates of ?????
Sonbull [250]

Answer:

The coordinates of B are (-8,25).

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the completer question is " M(−2, 10) is the midpoint of AB. If A has coordinates (4, −5), what are the coordinates of B".

Let coordinates of B are (a,b).

Formula for midpoint:

Midpoint=(\dfrac{x_1+x_2}{2},\dfrac{y_1+y_2}{2})

Midpoint of A and B is

Midpoint=(\dfrac{4+a}{2},\dfrac{-5+b}{2})

It is given that M(−2, 10) is the midpoint of AB.

(-2,10)=(\dfrac{4+a}{2},\dfrac{-5+b}{2})

On comparing both sides we get

-2=\dfrac{4+a}{2}

Multiply both sides by 2.

-4=4+a

Subtract 4 from both sides.

-8=a

The value of a is 8.

Similarly,

10=\dfrac{-5+b}{2}

Multiply both sides by 2.

20=-5+b

Add 5 on both sides.

25=b

Therefore, the coordinates of B are (-8,25).
