First you have to find how many sections of blue ribbon makes 1 meter

1/5 * 5 = 1

It takes 5 sections of blue ribbon to make one meter of blue ribbon

Multiply this by the sections of red ribbon

1/2 * 5 = 2.5

The answer is 2.5 meters of red ribbon for every meter of blue ribbon
