Something abnormal is something unusual or worrying, something significant is something worthy of attention, meaningful and important.

In Patient Care pratices and Functional Behavioral Assessment, which are processes that require gathering information by means of observation, listening, and analizing a patient's/student or child's environment or behavior to outline a support plan, abnormal findings are those outside the individual/patient's normal range (irregular trait's changes) that don't follow usual standards; and significant findings are important situations to consider, pay attention and be mindful of in order to further assist the patient or such individual; sometimes abnormal findings become significant under the context but not always.
