Pulse refers to the rhythmic throbbing that is generally felt in the wrist or in the heart due to the flow of blood into the artery. The blood vessel because of which pulse occurs prominently and in a way for us to detect the formation of pulse is the artery.

When blood flows through the thin walled arteries high pressure is created. As a result of the high pressure, pounding starts because of which we are able to feel the pulse.
