if walters scooter can travel 53 miles on 1 gallon of gas, how far can his scooter travel on 2.5 gallons of gas?
ValentinkaMS [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

t= how far his scooter can travel on 2.5 gallons of gas

Start by setting up a ratio

53:1= t:2.5

Rewrite as fractions

\frac{53}{1} = \frac{t}{2.5}

Cross multiply

1(t)= 53(2.5)

Simplify

t= 132.5

Walter's scooter can travel 132.5 miles on 2.5 gallons of gas

I hope this helps!!!

Adam lived a quarter of his life as a boy as fifth as a young man, a third in middle-age and 13 years in retirement. How old was
Anika [276]

ANSWER

Find out the how old was we when he died.

To proof

Let us assume that the age of the Adam be x

As given

Adam lived a quarter of his life as a boy as fifth as a young man, a third in middle-age and 13 years in retirement.

x =\frac{x}{4} +\frac{x}{5} +\frac{x}{3} + 13

L.C.M of denominator i.e ( 4,5,3) =60

than the equation becomes

60x = 15x + 12x +20x +780

60x - 47x = 780

13x = 780

x =\frac{780}{13}

x = 60 years

therefore the Adam age  when he died is 60 years.

Hence proved

If f(x) = x4 − x3 + x2 and g(x) = −x2, where x ≠ 0, what is (f ⁄g)(x)
Alika [10]
f(x)=x^2-x^3+x^2=x^2(x^2-x+1)\\\\g(x)=-x^2\\\\\left(\dfrac{f}{g}\right)(x)=\dfrac{x^2(x^2-x+1)}{-x^2}=-x^2+x-1

To determine her water pressure, Denise divides up her day into three parts: morning, afternoon, and evening. She then measures
MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

The correct answer is:

Stratified (c.)

Step-by-step explanation:

Stratified sampling technique is one in which the groups of data are divided into smaller groups or strata, based on shared common characteristics in these groups, and the samples randomly selected from each group in a proportional way. In this example, the sub-groups used is "times of the day" ie. morning, afternoon or evening. Other strata that can be used are; age, gender, continents etc. Stratification is done when the researcher wants to understand the relationships between the two or more groups. Stratified random sampling is also known as proportional random sampling or quota random sampling.
