The experimental probability is

  (number of times it stopped over Sect. 2) / (total number of times you tried it)

Number of times it stopped in Section-2: 36

Total number of times you tried it:  (20 + 36 + 24)  =  80

Experimental probability of Section-2  =  36/80 = 9/20  =  45%

Using the slope of 7 and y-intercept of (0, 16), write an equation of the line
Katen [24]

Answer:

y = 7x + 16

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope (m) = 7

y - intercept (b) = 16..{from (0, 16)}

Equation of line in slope intercept form is given as:

y = mx + b \\  \therefore \: y = 7 \times x + 16 \\   \huge \red{ \boxed{ \therefore \: y = 7 x + 16 }}

The weight P in pounds that a beam can safely carry is inversely proportional to the distance D in feet between the support beam
Leona [35]
Rewriting the function we have:
 p = 9200 / D
 We must in this case clear the value of D.
 We have then:
 D = 9200 / p
 Substituting the value of p = 1600 lb we have:
 D = 9200/1600
 D = 5.75 feet
 Answer:

the distance between supports that is needed to carry 1600 lb is:

D = 5.75 feet
