Answer:

The radius of circle L is 7.8\ in

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

In the figure the triangle VLM is a right triangle, because VL is pependicular to YM

so

YV=VM=12/2=6\ in

LM is the radius of the circle (hypotenuse of triangle VLM)

VL=5\ in

Applying the Pythagoras Theorem

LM^{2}=VM^{2}+VL^{2}

substitute

LM^{2}=6^{2}+5^{2}

LM^{2}=61

LM=7.8\ in ------> is the radius

The total weight of the fish in a tank of tropical fish at Fish’n’fur was 7/8 Ib. Each fish weighed 1/64 Ib. After Eric bought s
Sonbull [250]

Step-by-step explanation:

Weight of fish Eric bought

= Weight of fish at first - Weight remaining

= 7/8 lb - 1/2 lb = 3/8 lb.

Number of fish Eric bought

= (3/8 lb) / (1/64 lb)

= (24/64 lb) / (1/64 lb)

= 24.

Hence Eric bought 24 fishes.
