Keith_Richards [23]

Answer:Since the vehicles are travelling in the exact opposite direction, the sum of their rates is the rate at which they are separating. 48 + 64 = 112 miles per hour of separation.

728 miles ÷ 112 miles/hour = 6.5 hours

State the amplitude, period, phase shift, and vertical shift of the function m(t)= 7 cos (t+3)
tiny-mole [99]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

Given a sinusoidal function in the form  f(x)=Acos(Bx+C)+D, we can say:

  • A is the amplitude
  • \frac{2\pi}{B} is the period
  • -\frac{C}{B}  is the phase shift
  • D is the vertical shift

From the function given  m(t) = 7 Cos (t+3), we see that

A = 7

B = 1

C = 3

D = 0

Thus, from the info, we can say

Amplitude = 7

Period = 2π

Phase Shift = -3

Vertical Shift = 0

Answer choice B is right.

I need help with this one.
Elanso [62]

Answer:

y=(-4/1)x-5

Step-by-step explanation:

You need to find the slope of the line and the y intercept, you can do this by plotting the points into a graph and figuring it out that way, or you can use the equations y2-y1/x2-x1 (for slope) and y=(*the slope from the other equation*)x+b. For both equations plug in a corresponding x and y coordinate given on the list (y1 and y2 would be consecutive coordinates, so 1 and 2, and same for x1 and x1, so -9 and -13). You should get (-4/1) for the slope, and when you plug that into the other equation you should get 5. Lastly you plug all these numbers into y=mx+b, and you get your answer.

Hope this helps :)
