Time          Distance                Distance / Time
2hrs          90 miles                  90 miles / 2 hrs =  45 miles / hr
3hrs          135 miles                135 miles / 3 hrs =  45 miles / hr
5hrs          225 miles                 225 miles / 5 hrs =  45 miles / hr
6hrs          270 miles                  270 miles / 6 hrs =  45 miles / hr

Constant of proportionality is 45 miles / hr. This is the same for the four values. The unit rate is also 45 miles / hr.

Let us assume the Distance , d is directly proportional to Time, t
d α t
d = kt
Constant of proportionality is k which is D/T
d = 45t

Select the correct answer.

You use the FOIL method, and how you do this is -

(x - 7) (x + 8)

Multiply the first x by both numbers in the second factor. Which means, you multiply x by x and 8, the two in (x + 8).

With this, you get -
x^2 + 8x

Then do the same thing with -7.

-7x - 56

Then combine the two.
x^2 + 8x - 7x - 56

Combine like terms.

x^2 + x - 56

So now, 7 x 8 is 56
And -7 + 8 would be 1. And that is the value of “x” which is b in the form a^2x + bx + c.

Now with this, you take those two numbers and make the factors =
(x + 8) (x - 7)

Then you set these equal to 0.

x + 8 = 0

Subtract the 8 from both sides.

x = -8

————

x - 7 = 0

Add the 7 on both sides.

x = 7

What is the end behavior for f(x)=4x^4+2x^3-13x^2-14x+24?
Tpy6a [65]

Answer:

This means that f(x)→∞ as x→−∞ and f(x)→∞ as x→∞.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the leading term of the polynomial (the term in a polynomial which contains the highest power of the variable) is x4, then the degree is 4, i.e. even, and the leading coefficient is 1, i.e. positive.

This means that f(x)→∞ as x→−∞ and f(x)→∞ as x→∞.

What is 1.45 as a mixed number in simplest form?
g100num [7]
Answer is (1 9/20) because 1 and 45/ 100 can be simplified by divided 45/100 by 5.  45 divided by 5 is 9 and 100 divided by 5 is 20.  A mixed number is a combination of a whole number and a fraction.  The whole number is 1 and the fraction is reduced to 9/20.
