Homeostasis Worksheet Always graph time on the horizontal (X) axis. Label your axes Problem 1: A patient's body temperature was

recorded over a 24-hour period; the temperature at each hour is listed in the table below. Graph the data in the space provided and state whether it indicates negative or positive feedback. TIME 12 am 3 am 6 am 9 am 12 pm 3 pm 6 pm 9 pm TEMP, °F 98.30 98.10 98.40 98.90 98.70 98.50 98.60 98.80 TYPE OF FEEDBACK

Answer:

If temperature drops, it is negative feedback whereas if the temperature increases, it is positive feedback.

Explanation:

When the temperature drops from 98.30 °F, it means it is a negative feedback because its response is negative while if the temperature increases from 98.30 °F, it means it is a positive feedback because its response is positive. From 12 am to 3 am which represents negative feedback, temperature decreases whereas from 3 am to 6 am, the temperature increases which indicates positive feedback. From 6 am to 9 am, again the temperature drops and this fall represents negative feedback and so on.

The net energy yield from this pathway, where glucose is broken down through several steps forming pyruvate, is ________ molecul
stepan [7]

Answer:

2 molecules of ATP and 2 molecules of NADH

Explanation:

Glycolysis is the first step of cellular respiration (break down of glucose to extract energy) which occurs in the cytoplasm. Glycolysis is a pathway common to all living organisms- prokaryotes and eukaryotes, as it does not require oxygen to occur.

Glycolysis occurs in two major phases (ten steps) requiring 10 enzymes catalyzing each step; the energy-requiring phase and the energy-requiring phase.

In the energy-requiring phase, the starting molecule (glucose) gets rearranged in a series of chemical reactions, and two phosphate groups gets attached to it producing fructose-1,6-bisphosphate which is unstable, This modified sugar then splits in half due to its instability to form two different but inter-convertible phosphate-bearing three-carbon sugars (Dihydroxyacetonephosphate, DHAP and Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate, G3P). Because the phosphates used in these steps come from 2 ATP molecules, 2 ATP molecules get used up in this phase

All the DHAP molecules get converted to G-3-P in order to enter the next phase.

In the energy-recovering phase, the 3-carbon sugar (G3P) is converted into another three-carbon molecule called pyruvate, through a series of reactions. In these reactions, two ATP and 1 NADH molecules are made. This recovery phase occurs twice (one for each of the two isomeric three-carbon sugars, DHAP and G3P). Hence, a total of 4 ATP and 2 NADH molecules are produced in this phase.

Overall, Glycolysis converts one glucose (six-carbon) molecule to two pyruvate (three-carbon) molecules and a net release of 2 ATP molecules (4 overall - 2 used) and 2 NADH molecules.

Read the list of words.
MrMuchimi

Answer:

The correct answer is glands.

Explanation:

It is known that brain monitors movement, therefore, one can definitely correlate movement of muscles with the brain that comprises the role of sensory and motor neurons. When a stimulus is obtained by the sensory organs, it is transmitted by the sensory neuron to the brain and from their information is further conducted to the effector organs like muscles by the motor neuron. The glands are the group of cells, which takes part in the secretions when instigated by any particular hormone.

What is the difference between Internal Regulator Protein and External Regulator Protein?
Korvikt [17]
Here is the answer that you are looking for:

External Regulators. External regulators are also proteins, but they react to stimuli from outside the cell. They direct cells to either speed or slow the cell cycle based upon outside conditions. For example, one protein reacts to molecules on the outside of a neighboring cell.

Birth rate = 35
serg [7]
Population decreases by 15.

Birth rate means more population (positive), death rate means less population (negative), immigration means more (positive), and emigration means less (negative). So, just add and subtract the appropriate numbers:

35\ people\ born-7\ people\ die+4\ people\ enter-17\ people\ leave=\\-15\ people

Negative 15 people means that the population decreases by 15.
