Since it is the midpoint we can say:
12x  - 1 = 8x +11
All we have do to is get all the x's alone on one side

12x - 1 = 8x + 11
12x = 8x + 12    (add both sides by 1)
4x = 12   (subtract both sides by 8x)
x = 3       (divide both sides to get what x is)

The equation of a linear function in point-slope form is y-y1=m(x-x1). Harold correctly wrote the equation y=3(x-7) using a poin
grin007 [14]

Answer:

(7, 0).

Step-by-step explanation:

We have   y =  3(x - 7)

y = 3x - 21

Point-slope form is

y - y1 = 3(x - x1)

y  -  y1 = 3x - 3x1

Comparing this to the equation y = 4x - 21 we see that y1 = 0 and x1 = 7.

<h2>Steps:</h2><h3>A.</h3>

For this, plug 4 into the x variable (since 4 is in the x variable of g(x)) and solve as such:

g(4)=\frac{1}{2}*4+5\\\\g(4)=2+5\\\\g(4)=7

<u>Your final answer is g(4) = 7.</u>

<h3>B.</h3>

For this, it's a similar process as A, but you are plugging -10 into the x variable and solving:

g(-10)=\frac{1}{2}*(-10)+5\\\\g(-10)=-5+5\\\\g(-10)=0

<u>Your final answer is g(-10) = 0</u>

<h3>C.</h3>

Similar process as before, but you are plugging 0 for x to solve:

g(0)=\frac{1}{2}*0+5\\\\g(0)=0+5\\\\g(0)=5

<u>Your final answer is g(0) = 5.</u>
