The correct answer is B) search warrant.

The British policy of enforcing the writs of assistance caused much anger amongst American colonists. The statement that is the BEST description of the term writs of assistance is "search warrant."

For one reason or the other, the British monarchy did not trust its colonies at all. After the French and Indian War, the English monarchy decided to exert a more restrictive control over its colonies. Some colonies kept on trading with other countries during that war and that did not like the English government. So that is when the English imposed the writs of assistance, that were documents to search warrant. This documents permitted customs authorities to search any home, building, ship or warehouse suspected to contain goods from other countries.

Which conquistador is not matched correctly with the region he explored or conquered? A. Ponce de León - Florida B. Hernando Cor
Gala2k [10]
Hernan Cortes is the explorer not correctly matched with his region. He did not explore western South America, but instead explored Mexico. He fought in Mexico and led the downfall of the Aztec Empire. For this, he received a high-ranking medal and this helped him move up as a noble of a better level in the social ranking. He also used the tactics of being friends with some indigenous groups versus others. He brought large parts of Mexico under the Spanish Castille rule.
