Given two functions are

f(x) = 2 cos(x)

g(x) = 3 sin(x+ \pi)

We know that the maximum value of cos x and sin x is always 1

y= maximum of cos = 1

y= maximum of sin =1

f(x) = 2 cos(x)

y= 2 (max of cos) = 2(1) = 2

g(x) = 3 sin(x+ \pi)

y= 3 (max of sin) = 3(1) = 3

g(x) = 3 sin(x+ \pi) has the maximum value.

otez555 [7]
It is mentioned that the rate is constant at $85 per hour. Since, on Wednesday, Nita worked for 8 hours, she would earn 85*8 = $680. In addition to this, she also received a tip of $12. Thus, she earned a total of $680 + $12 = $692.

There are 10 students in a class. The teacher chooses 2 students to go to the
CaHeK987 [17]

Answer:

The number of ways in which students were chosen is 45 ways .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The number of students in a class = x = 10

The number of students chosen by teacher to go to library = y = 2

Let The number of ways in which students were chosen = n ways

<u>Now, According to question</u>

So,  number of ways in which students were chosen = _{y}^{x}\textrm{C}

Or, n ways =  _{2}^{10}\textrm{C}

Or, n  = \frac{\L 10}{\L( 10-2)\times \L 2}

Or, n =  \frac{\L 10}{\L8\times \L 2}

Or, n =  \frac{10\times 9\times \L 8}{\L 8\times \L 2}

Or, n = \frac{10\times 9}{2\times 1}

Or, n = 5 × 9

i.e n = 45

So, The number of ways in which students were chosen = n = 45 ways

Hence,The number of ways in which students were chosen is 45 ways . Answer
