How are climate patterns related to each zone of latitude?

Geography
1 answer:
netineya [11]3 years ago

The climate patters are heavily influenced by the latitude, and this is due to the amount of sunlight each latitude zone receives.

The zones that are at the equator and its closer surrounding are zones where the sun hits the most, and that is because the sunlight falls more directly, thus the sunlight is more concentrated and creates much warmer climates.

As the zones move further away from the equator, both north and south, they become colder and colder, and this is because of the dispersal of the sunlight which makes it much less concentrated, and that is occurring because of the shape of the Earth.

labwork [276]

In geography, the temperate climates (sometimes tepid climates) of Earth occur in the middle latitudes (23.5° to 66.5° N/S of Equator), which span between the tropics and the polar regions of Earth.[1] These zones generally have wider temperature ranges throughout the year and more distinct seasonal changes compared to tropical climates, where such variations are often small and usually only have precipitation changes.

Q.1 Define Tectonic plates, Mountainous rift and earthquake
Stels [109]

Answer:

Defined as below

Explanation:

Plate tectonics are defined as the pieces of Earth's crust floating over the liquid asthenosphere or the movements of sheets/plates of hard rock over the rigid mantle. Varying in thickness moving in the directions to there orientation. They are either oceanic or continental plates

Rift valleys are generally linear or are highlands that separated by actions of geologic agents. It may be formed by a divergent or a convergent plate movement. 0n earth can occur on all height above mean sea levels. Extraterrestrial Rift valleys have also been found on planets in the solar system. Example is Eastern valley of africa.

Earthquake is a shaking of the earth from the interior due to the vibrations and waves produced due to the movement of geo-material beneath the earth's crust. These waves are measured on a Richter scale and range from 1 to 12 caused by sliding of the earth plates from the convergent, divergent and transform boundaries. Like the ring of fire an earthquake prone region.
