That the number is far away from the other numbers. To actually find how far away a number is to become an outlier is Q1-1.5(IQR) or Q3+1.5(IQR). It looks like in the picture that those equations are unnecessary.

To make a specific hair dye, a hair stylist uses a ratio of 1 1/8 ounces of red tone, 3/4 ounces of gray tone, and 5/8 ounces of
natima [27]

Answer: To make 20 ounces of dye, we need 3 oz red tone, 6 oz of gray tone and 5 oz of brown tone.

To make 100 ounces of dye, we need 15 oz red tone, 30 oz of gray tone and 25 oz of brown tone.

Step-by-step explanation:

The amount of specific hair dye made by given ingredients=1\frac{1}{8}+\frac{3}{4}+\frac{5}{8}

=\frac{9}{8}+\frac{3}{4}+\frac{5}{8}

=\frac{9+6+5}{8}=\frac{20}{8}=\frac{5}{2}\ oz

Therefore , The amount of specific hair dye made by given ingredients=\frac{5}{2} qz

Multiply reciprocal of \frac{5}{2} to each ingredient to find the amount of each ingredient required to make 1 oz of specific hair dye.

To make 1 oz of specific dye, the amount of red tone needed=\frac{3}{8}\times\frac{2}{5}=\frac{3}{20}\ oz

Similarly, Gray tone=\frac{3}{4}\times\frac{2}{5}=\frac{3}{10}\ oz

Brown tone=\frac{5}{8}\times\frac{2}{5}=\frac{1}{4}\ oz

Now, multiply 20, to each

To make 20 oz of specific dye, the amount of red tone needed=\frac{3}{20}\times20=3\ oz

Similarly, Gray tone=\frac{3}{10}\times20=6\ oz

Brown tone=\frac{1}{4}\times20=5\ oz

To find each dye to make 100 ounces of dye, multiply 5 to the above amounts, [since 100=20\times5 ]

To make 20 oz of specific dye, the amount of red tone needed=15\ oz

Similarly, Gray tone=30\ oz

Brown tone=25\ oz

John cut a paper square with a perimeter of 18 inches into two rectangles. The perimeter of one of the rectangles is 10 inches.
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

13.5 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of the paper square = 18inches

Perimeter of a square = 4s

4s = 18 inches

s = 18/4 = 4.5 inches

Therefore, each side of the square = 4.5 inches.

When the square is cut into 2 rectangles,

The perimeter of one of the rectangles is 10 inches.

Perimeter of the second rectangle = 2L + 2W

Let the length of the rectangle (L) = one side of the square = 4.5 inches

Width of the Rectangle = Length of the square/2 = 4.5 inches/ 2 = 2.25

Perimeter of the second rectangle = 2(4.5) + 2(2.25)

= 9 + 4.5

= 13.5 inches
