shutvik [7]
<span>The era in which we now live is Cenozoic. The Phanerozoic is the eon in which we now live. It began 541 million years ago. However, the question is about the era in which we live. The Phanerozoic eon is divided into 3 eras: 1. the Paleozoic era - 541-252 million years ago; 2. the Mesozoic era - 252-66 million years ago; 3. the Cenozoic era - 66 million years ago until now. Thus, the era in which we now live is the Cenozoic era.</span>

Although we have discussed single-slit diffraction only for a slit, a similar result holds when light bends around a straight, t
QveST [7]
<h2>Width of hair is "1.96 10⁻⁵ m"</h2>

Explanation:

  • For this diffraction problem they tell us that it is equivalent to the diffraction of a single slit, which is explained by the equation
  •      a sin θ =±  m λ
  • Where the different temrs are: “a” the width of the hair, λ the wavelength, θ the angle from the center, m the order of diffraction, which is the number of bright rings (constructive diffraction)
  • We can see that the diffraction angle is missing, but we can find it by trigonometry, where L is the distance of the strand of hair to the observation screen and "y" is the perpendicular distance to the first minimum of intensity
  •      L = 1.25 m 100 cm/1m   = 125 cm
  •      y = 5.06 cm
  •     Tan θ = y/L
  •     Tan θ = 5.06/12
  •      θ = tan⁻¹ ( 0.0405)
  •      θ =  2.32º
  • With this data we can continue analyzing the problem, they indicate that they measure the distance to the first dark strip, thus m = 1
  •     a = m λ / sin θ
  •     a = 1 633 10⁻⁹ 1.25/sin 2.3
  •     a = 1.96 10⁻⁵ m
  •     a = 0.0196 mm
  • Hence, "the width of the strand of hair is   1.96 10⁻⁵ m" is correct answer

4. Describe an observation you made today and an inference you can make from that observation.
OleMash [197]

Answer:

my my teacher gives my class and I a mystery box for us to observe what's inside that box it was closed, as we was trying to know what's inside that box we were looking and thinking what does it sounds like, but my friend next to me says it sounds like a stapler and my other friend said it's not very heavy, as we were we said we could take another box just like that identified box and put a stapler since it sounds like a stapler and it's not that heavy as we know staplers are not that heavy. well we did that we check and our activity shows that the mystery box it slides and appear to be flat and all the box it slides in appear to be flat so that's the same thing as our box and the mystery box and we were looking at how does it sound when we close the box and everything we were checking how does it sound as we are observed that the mystery box it makes a metallic song when it strikes the side of the box an hour box the stapler makes a thudding sound when it strikes the side of the box and we also checked if the mass of the box was the same but it wasn't the mystery box was 270 g and our box was much more heavier which is 410 g so we were checking what was the really wrong thing we was checking and checking is like what should we do next, and we did in for the things in the box had to be different because our observation of the two boxes are different, and we observed yes things are different of course.

and there's a picture with the observation chart I will be showing it's above take a look and you will be have more understanding and knowledge about the really topic I am talking about thank you.
