Let x = amount for dog
let 2/3x-5 = amount for cat

x + 2/3x-5 = 195   combine x's
1 2/3x or 5/3x
5/3x-5 =195   add 5 to both sides
5/3x = 200   multiply both sides by 3
5x = 600   divided both sides by 5
x = 120

the cost of the dog is $120.00

Answer:

Add the area of the rectangle with the semicircle.

10x4 + 0.5(3.14)(25)

40+39.25

79.25

So the answer is C. 79.

In triangle △WXY, XY ≅ WX and m∠X=38 Find m∠W
allsm [11]

Answer:

71^{\circ}

Step-by-step explanation:

Since two sides of the triangle are equal in length, we can conclude that \triangle WXY is an isosceles triangle. With this information, we can draw an isosceles triangle to find m\angle W. Since the base angles of an isosceles triangle are equal, we can solve for m\angle W:

38 + m\angle W + m\angle Y = 180 (Angle sum of triangle is 180^{\circ})

38+2(m\angle W) = 180 (Base angles of isosceles triangles are equal, there is an image attached to show that m\angle W is one of the base angles)

2(m\angle W) = 142

m\angle W=71^{\circ}

Hope this helps :)

Given that A=27, B=43 and c=17, solve triangle ABC to the nearest hundredth
katrin2010 [14]
When we are given 3 sides, we try to solve the angles first by using the
law of cosines
cos (A) = [b^2 + c^2 - a^2] / (2 * b * c)
cos (A) = [43^2 + 17^2 -27^2] / (2 * 43 * 17)
cos (A) = [1,849 + 289 -729] / <span> <span> <span> 1,462
</span></span></span>cos (A) = 1,409 / 1,462
cos (A) = <span> <span> <span> 0.96374829001368
Angle A = 15.475

Now that we have one angle, we next can use the
Law of Sines
sin(B) / side b = sin(A) / side a
sin(B) = sin(A) * sideb / sidea
</span></span></span><span>sin(B) = sin(15.475) * 43 / 27
</span><span>sin(B) = 0.26682 * 43 / 27
sin (B) = </span><span>0.424935555555</span>
Angle B = 25.147 Degrees
Remember the arc sine (<span>0.424935555555) also equals </span> <span> <span> <span> 154.85

</span></span></span>Finally, calculating the third angle is quite easy
Angle C =  180 - Angle (A) - Angle(B)
Angle C =  180 - 15.475 - 154.85
Angle C =  9.675
