Answer: True

Sustainable agriculture is a process of farming in a sustainable way. This involves the implementation of methods which induce high yielding, nutritious , disease free crops. The sustainable agriculture also ensures the growth of crops without causing any harm to the natural environment. The decrease in use of pesticides and herbicides can help in agricultural sustainability as pesticides and herbicides although removes the unwanted insects and plant species in the agricultural field but also decrease the quality of crop by inducing chemicals in them. These chemicals are harmful which after consumption by human population may result in detrimental consequences on health. These chemicals can also pollute soil, water and air hence, are responsible for environmental hazards.

g Explain the meaning of ploidy (haploid, diploid, aneuploid etc.) and how it relates to the number of homologues of each chromo
olya-2409 [2.1K]

Answer:

The correct answer is - Ploidy is the number of sets of chromosomes in a biological cell.

Explanation:

Ploidy is the number of sets of the chromosome in a living cell. Ploidy is known for different condition such as haploid, diploid, and aneuploid, and many more depends how many homologues chromosome numbers are present in the cell.

Diploid cells are common in many organisms where one chromosome come from the mother gamete and the other from the father gamete and makes the homologues chromosomes. In diploid homologues, chromosome are 2n where n is the number of homologues of each chromosome.

In haploid there is only one set of each chromosome and mainly takes place by meiosis. In aneuploidy is the condition where the number of homologues chromosomes are not as the normal genome of the organism for example in humans instead of 46 chromosomes there 45 or 47 chromosome found.

Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

B) requires DNA polymerase and RNA polymerase

Explanation:

DNA replication is mainly maid by the DNA polymerase and RNA polymerase enzymes, it needs others enzymes like helicase but are not a dozen of them.

DNA polymerase synthesize DNA in a main chain of DNA but needs a primer of RNA that is made by the RNA polymerase. With this process the DNA and RNA polymerase synthesize a new DNA chain that is bind to the main chain.
