An example of an action and reaction is sitting on a chair. Your body pushes down on the chair because of the force of what?
vaieri [72.5K]

Your body is pushing down on a chair because it is being attracted by gravity, the reason that your body is not moving down because there is a normal force acting on your body; together the net force of weight (m*g) and normal force is equal to zero

Explain how valence electrons can result in the
creation of ions.
Brums [2.3K]
So as you may know atoms are neutral because the number of protons (+ charge) and the number of electrons( - charge) are the same so they cancel out. When a valence electron leaves an atom it will have a +1 charge because there is one less negative than positives or there is one more positive than negatives since a negative electron left. If a valence electron is added a -1 charge because there is now one more negative than positive!!!
hope that helps!!

A circuit has a voltage drop of 24.0 V across a 30.0 resistor that carries a
beks73 [17]

(A) 19.2 W

Explanation:

Given-

Voltage drop, V = 24 V

Resistor = 30Ω

Current, I = 0.8 A

Power, P = ?

We know,

P = VI

P = 24 (0.8)

P = 19.2 W

Therefore, the power conducted by the resistor is 19.2 W
