Answer:

0.0979 kg/m³

Explanation:

Treating air as an ideal gas:

PV = nRT

n/V = P/RT

Density depends on both pressure and temperature.  If we assume the temperature is constant, we can say that density is directly proportional to pressure.

ρ = kP

ρ/P = k

Writing a proportion:

(1.26 kg/m³) / (7720 mmHg) = ρ / (600 mmHg)

ρ = 0.0979 kg/m³

Answer:

\rho = 0.098 kg/m^3

Explanation:

As we know that for ideal gas we will have

PV = nRT

here we can convert it into the form of density

PV = \frac{m}{M}RT

now we have

PM = \rho RT

now if the temperature will remain constant then in that case

\frac{P}{\rho} = constant

so we will have

\frac{P_1}{P_2} = \frac{\rho_1}{\rho_2}

here we can plug in all values in it

\frac{7720}{600} = \frac{1.26}{\rho}

now we have

\rho = \frac{600}{7720}(1.26)

\rho = 0.098 kg/m^3

Problem 21-40a:
Greeley [361]

Answer:

Part a)

\frac{F_e}{F_g} = 2.74 \times 10^{12}

Part b)

q = 3.37 \times 10^{-4} C

Explanation:

As we know that electric force on electric charge is given as

F = qE

here we have

q = 1.6 \times 10^{-19}C

E = 153 N/C

now force is given as

F = (1.6 \times 10^{-19})(153) = 2.45 \times 10^{-17} N

Gravitational force on electric charge near surface of earth is given as

F_g = mg

F_g = (9.1 \times 10^{-31})(9.81) = 8.93 \times 10^[-30} N

now the ratio of two forces is given as

\frac{F_e}{F_g} = \frac{2.45 \times 10^{-17}}{8.93 \times 10^{-30}}

\frac{F_e}{F_g} = 2.74 \times 10^{12}

Part b)

Now the ball is balanced by the electric force and the force of gravity on it

so here we have

F_g = qE

mg = qE

(5.25 \times 10^{-3})(9.81) = q(153)

here we have

q = 3.37 \times 10^{-4} C

As an ice cube melts, its molecules
fomenos

Answer:

A. absorb heat energy and move farther apart

Explanation:

The answer is A since when a ice cube takes in heat, it changes form and melts down to a liquid : water.

The molecules in water are farther apart since they are moving around alot but can be contained in a container.

A cow wanders 30 m North, turns 22 degrees right of its original path, and wanders another 40 m. Find its total displacement.
scoundrel [369]

Answer:OB=58.3m

Explanation:

So here cow wanders 30m in north and turns 22 degrees in right side and moves 40m more, as shown in figure given.

now take the starting point as a origin such that cow moves in x-y co-ordinate axis.

As shown in figure length OA is the length when cow moves in north or y direction. Later she takes 22 degrees turn to right and moves 40m more.

So the final displacement is the length of cow from the origin that is length OB.

now co-ordinates of B are [40cos22°,40sin22°+30] i.e [37.084,44.984]

now displacement of cow= length of OB

                                           = \sqrt{[37.084]^{2}+[44.984]^{2}  }

                                           =\sqrt{3398.78}

                                     OB =58.3
