Step-by-step explanation:

i) You are facing North

Turn 90 degrees left

ii) 90 degrees left to north is west.

Turn around to reverse your direction

iii) On reversing direction you will be facing east.

Turn 45 degrees left

iv) On turning 45 degrees left, you will be facing north east.

 Turn around to reverse your direction

v) On reversing direction you will be facing south west.

Final direction is 45 degrees south of west or  45 degrees west of south.

North
You are facing north. 90 degrees left is west. 180 degrees is now east. Reversing your direction is the same as 180 so your now back to facing west. Turn 45 left you’re now facing south. Reverse again and you’re facing north.

Find the volume and surface area of this prism.
mina [271]

Answer:

V = 408 cm cubed

SA = 558 cm squared

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the volume of a prism, multiply the area of the base by the height. This is 1/2 times width times height times length.

V =1/2 l*w*h =1/2* 6*8*17 = 408

To find the surface area of a prism, find the area of the triangular base and the area of each rectangular side.

Area of the base is A = 1/2 * b*h = 1/2 * 6 * 8 = 24. Since there are 2 bases, the area is 48.

Area of the rectangular side is A = b*h = 17*10 = 170. Since there are three, the area is 3*170 = 510.

The surface area of the prism is 48 + 510 = 558.

From an industrial area 70 companies were selected at random and 45 of them were panning for expansion next year. Find 95% confi
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

Confidence limit = [52.8%, 75.2%]

Step-by-step explanation:

P=\frac{45}{70}= 0.64

(1-P)=1-0.64=0.36

n= 70

P ± z \sqrt{\frac{P(1-P)}{n} }

where the value z will be taken from the z-table for 95% confidence interval

1-0.95= 0.05/2= 0.025

0.95+0.025= 0.0975

From the z-table the value of z corresponding to 0.0975 is 1.96

0.64 ± 1.96 \sqrt{\frac{0.64*0.36}{70} }

0.64 ± 1.96 (0.057)

0.64 ± 0.112

64%% ± 11.2%

so the confidence interval is

64+11.2=75.2%

64-11.2=52.8%

[52.8, 75.2]
