The equation of this line would be (x - 7)^2 + (y + 24)^2 = 625

This is because of the base equation for circles, which is:

(x - x1)^2 + (y - y1)^2 = r^2

In which, x1 is the x-coordinate to the center, y1 is the y-coordinate to the center and r is the radius.

So we start by putting in out known values.

(x - 7)^2 + (y + 24)^2 = r^2

However, we still don't know the r value. To find it, we must use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the distance between the center and the origin.

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

7^2 + 24^2 = c^2

49 + 576 = c^2

625 = c^2

25 = c

So we know the radius must be 25. So we can plug that into what we already had.

(x - 7)^2 + (y + 24)^2 = 25^2

(x - 7)^2 + (y + 24)^2 = 625

A cone has a radius of 10 cm and and height of 9 cm. What is the approximate volume of the cone? Use 3.14 for π.
astraxan [27]

Answer:

The volume of the cone is 942cm^3

Step-by-step explanation:

The given cone has a radius of 10 cm and and height of 9 cm.

The volume of a cone is given by:

V=\frac{\pi r^2h}{3}

We substitute r=10 and h=9 ,  \pi=3.14 to obtain:

V=\frac{3.14*10^2*9}{3}

Simplify exponents to get:

V=\frac{3.14*100*9}{3}

Simplify:

V=314*3\\V=942cm^3

Therefore the volume of the cone is 942cm^3

An isosceles triangle has an angle that measures 92° which other angles could be in that isosceles triangle choose all that appl
nignag [31]

Answer:

44

Step-by-step explanation:

The two base angles cannot both be 92 degrees because they would add up to 184 which is more degrees than any triangle has. The apex angle (the top angle) therefore has 92 degrees.

The base angles are equal and found as follows.

2*b + 92 = 180                 Subtract 92 from both sides

2b +92-92 = 180-92

2b = 88                           divide by 2

2b/2=88/2

b = 44

The only angle measurement that fits is 44

3x + 4(2) = 20
3x + 8 = 20
3x = 12
x = 4
(4,2)
You have y=2 then all you need to do is plug 2 into the y in the equation 3x + 4y = 20 and do the math to find x. Hope this helps
