Answer:

The first step of the water cycle is <u>evaporation </u>this is when the water at the surface of <u>oceans, streams, or lakes (salt-water or fresh-water areas)</u> and gets absorbed by the sun. (When the water obsorbs the heat from the sun). Second step is <u>condensation</u> which is as the water is vaporized into water vapor it rises up into the atmosphere and when the water is high up the vapor will turn into small particles of water because the temperature is low. It will then form <u>clouds</u> or fog. Step three is <u>precipitation</u> which is when it starts to rain, when the small droplets of water combine to make bigger drops of water. The fourth step is collection areas this is when water that falls from the clouds as rain, snow, hail, etc.. and collects in the oceans, <u>rivers, lakes, streams</u>. The fifth step is the <u>runoff</u> which is while water is pouring down all over the surface of the earth. Streams will form and they will lead to <u>oceans, streams, or lakes.</u>

Non-protein coding DNA in eukaryotes contains repetitive elements that include (select all that apply): Group of answer choices
Olegator [25]

Answer:

interspersed, transposon-derived repeats, simple sequence repeats.

Explanation:

In the human genome, not only the protein coding genes are present, in fact these genes make up just a very little portion of the human genome about 1.5-2% of the entire human genome. Repeats make up about 48% of the human genome which is the largest and the rest include, conserved non coding sequences (43.5%), heterochromatin regions etc.

Some of the repetitive elements includes LINEs, SINEs, DNA fossils tranposoon, Retrovirus like elements. all these are transposable elements which are  mobile DNA sequences that can migrate to different  regions/areas of the genome.

Microsatellites (simple sequence repeats) are tracts of repetitive DNA in which certain DNA motifs are repeated normally 5-50 times.

Which regions best identifies where myosin would have maximum cross-bridge access to actin?
8090 [49]
<h2>Region between 2 and 3</h2>

Explanation:

Muscles consists of two protein filaments:a thick filament which is made up of protein myosin whereas a thin filament is made up of protein actin

  • During contraction, thin filaments slide past the thick filament resulting in shortening of sarcomere
  • Myosin thick filaments grab on to the actin filaments by forming cross bridges
  • The thick filaments pull the thin filaments past them making the sarcomere shorter
  • The region between points 2 and 3 includes the area of overlap between thin and thick filaments
