Answer:

See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

1. The 1st Beatles song heard is the 5th song played means that first 4 songs are not Beatles songs (there are 100 - 10 = 90 such songs) and the 5th song is Beatles song (there are 10 such songs). Hence, the probability that the first Beatles song heard is the fifth song played is

\dfrac{C^{90}_4\cdot C^{10}_1}{C^{100}_5}=\dfrac{2,555,190\cdot 10}{75,287,520}\approx 0.3394

2. There are exactly two Beatles songs in the first five songs played means there are 2 Beatles songs and 3 not Betles songs (the number when these songs are played do not matter). Hence, the probability that there are exactly two Beatles songs in the first five songs played is

\dfrac{C^{10}_2\cdot C^{90}_3}{C^{100}_5}=\dfrac{45\cdot 117,480}{75,287,520}\approx 0.0702

Find lim f(x), x-&gt;3-<br> Can you please explain this. I dont know why but this is confusing me.
GaryK [48]
Hello,

$ \lim_{x \to 3-} f(x)=1\ \ is\ since ( x\ \in\ Dom(f)\ and\ \forall\ \delta\ \textgreater\ 0 \ and\  $&#10;
( x \in \ Dom( f )  \ and \ 3-\delta \ \le \ x \ \ \textless \  p ) == \textgreater \  &#10;1 - \epsilon \ \le\ f ( x )\ \le \ 1 + \epsilon \

$ \lim_{x \to 3+} f(x)=3$&#10;
f(3)=7\\&#10;\lim_{x \to 3} f(x) \ does\ not\ exist.

xenn [34]

Answer:

\large \boxed{\text{23 s}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Jaime is at point A and wants to get across the river to Point B.

They must head upstream towards Point C.

1. Calculate the net speed across the river.

∆ABC is a right triangle, so

\begin{array}{rcl}AB^{2} + BC^{2} & = & AC^{2} \\AB^{2} +10^{2} & = & 12^{2} \\AB^{2}+100& = & 144 \\AB^{2}& = & 44\\AB & = & \sqrt{44}\\& = & 2\sqrt{11}\\& \approx &\textbf{6.633 m/s}\\\end{array}

2. Calculate the time to cross the river

\text{Time} = \text{150 m} \times \dfrac{\text{1 s}}{\text{6.633 m}} \approx \textbf{23 s}\\\\\text{It will take $\large \boxed{\textbf{23 s}}$ to cross the river.}

I could really use some help with this
denis23 [38]
Since you want help i wont tell you the answer..just how to solve...

(need to know) Of in math means multiply

 they are giving you something to plug in to f(x) so everywhere in the equation there is an X replace with the equation and solve....in this case they are replacing f(x) with f(a+2) so take 3+x and change it to 3+a+2 and then take x-3 and make it a+2-3.

Then you have 3+a+2 divided by a+2-3
