first\ equation :\\pq+pr=80\\pq=80-pr..........[1]\\\\secon\ equation :\\pq+qr=425..........[2]

Now\ substituting\ equation\ 1\ into\ 2:\\\\pq+qr=425\\(80-pr)+qr=425\\-pr+qr=425-80\\-pr+qr=345\\r(q-p)=345\\\\we\ have :\\ p(q+r)=80=2^{4} \times 5,\\q(p+r)=425=5^{2} \times 17\\r(q-p)=345=3 \times 5 \times 23\\\\so\ : p = 2\ or\ 5, ~q=5\ or\ 17,~ r = 3,5,or\ 23.

From\ : p(q+r)=80, if~p=5~then\ q+r=16, which\ has\ no\ solution\\So~~p=2, then\ ~q+r=40, hence~~q=17~~and~~r=23.\\\\\therefore~~ p+q+r~~~is~~~\boxed{2+17+23=42}

Pq + pr = 80  => p (q+r) = 80
pq + qr = 425 => q (p+r ) = 425

Factorize 80 with having one factor as prime number
80 =  2 * 40 = 5 *16

Factrorize 425 with having one factor as prime number
425 = 5 * 85 = 17 * 25...

Therfore, p has to be 2.
q = 17 and r= 23...
p + q +r = 2 + 17+ 23 = 42

Two planes A and B start from the same place and move in different directions making an angle of 50° between them the speed of p
Alika [10]

Answer:

The distance between them is 230.65 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Here we use the Cosine formula

a^2 = b^2 + c^2 - 2bc\ cos\ A\\\\a^2 = 200^2 + 300^2 - 2\times 200\times 300cos50^{\circ}\\\\= 40,000 + 90,000 - 120,000cos50^{\circ}\\\\= 130,000 - 120,000 \times 0.64\\\\= 130,000 - 76,800\\\\a^2= 53,200\\\\a = \sqrt{53,200} \\\\= 230.65\ miles\ per\ hour

Now the distance for one hour is

= 230.65 ÷ 1

= 230.65 miles

How much interest is earned in 2 years on an investment of $2000? The interest rate is 3%
erik [133]
Answer:
A = $ 2,120.00

Equation:
A = P(1 + rt)
Calculation:
First, converting R percent to r a decimal
r = R/100 = 3%/100 = 0.03 per year,
then, solving our equation

A = 2000(1 + (0.03 × 2)) = 2120
A = $ 2,120.00

The total amount accrued, principal plus interest,
from simple interest on a principal of $ 2,000.00
at a rate of 3% per year
for 2 years is $ 2,120.00.

Use the given information to answer the following questions. center (3, -9, 3), radius 5 (a) Find an equation of the sphere with
lianna [129]

Answer: The equation of the sphere with the center and radius

x^{2} +y^{2} +z^{2}-6 x+18 y-6 z+74=0

b) The intersection of this sphere with the y z-plane the x- co-ordinate

is zero(i.e., x = 0 )

Step-by-step explanation:

a) The equation of the sphere having center (h,k,l) and radius r is

(x-h)^{2} +(y-k)^2+(z-l)^2 = r^2

Given center of the sphere  (3, -9, 3) and radius 5

(x-3)^{2}+(y+9)^2+(z-3)^2 = 5^2

on simplification , we get solution

x^{2} -6 x+9+y^{2} +18 y+81+z^{2}-6 z+9=25

x^{2} +y^{2} +z^{2}-6 x+18 y-6 z+74=0

Final answer :-

x^{2} +y^{2} +z^{2}-6 x+18 y-6 z+74=0

b) The intersection of this sphere with the y z-plane the x- co-ordinate

is zero(i.e., x = 0 )

y^{2} +z^{2}+18 y-6 z+74=0

£60 is divided between Richard, Stephen & Bridget so that Richard gets twice as much as Stephen, and Stephen gets three time
julsineya [31]

Answer: £18

Step-by-step explanation:

let Bridget get £x,

Stephen gets 3x, Richard gets 2(3x)

Equation is x + 3x + 6x = 60

10x = 60: x = 60/40 = 6

Bridget gets £6

Stephen gets 3x = 3 x 6 = £18

Richard gets 2(3x) = 2 x 18 = £36
