Which of the following is characteristic of complex multicellularity?
Vaselesa [24]

Answer:

The correct answer is option b. "The interior cells are exposed to a different physical and chemical environment than the exterior cells".

Explanation:

Complex multicellularity is a characteristic that large organisms comprised of thousands of cells posses. The organisms with complex multicellularity have their cells organized into different tissues in a three dimensional arrangement, that often involves the development of organs. One characteristic of complex multicellularity is that the interior cells are exposed to a different physical and chemical environment than the exterior cells. For instance, skin cells have adapted to serve as a barrier to pathogen and environmental conditions, while blood cells have adapted to transport nutrients and serve in the immune system.

How are genetic characteristics associated with nonreproductive activities such as feeding affected by natural selection?
marissa [1.9K]

The polymer that provides plants with their genetic traits is nucleic acid. Nucleic acids are what made the DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). The DNA are composed of a nitrogenous base, phosphate and a sugar (deoxyribose). The bases are adenosine, tyrosine, uracil and guanine. And they are needed to be matched to carry the trait.  The nitrogenous base are the traits that contains the genetic material and are mostly composed of nucleic acids.

Define foreground, mid ground and background plants aquatic science
slamgirl [31]

Answer:

Hope I managed to help in parenthesis my own ideas

Explanation:

-Foreground aquarium plants are ideally aquatic plants that are placed at the base of a hardscape layout, near the midground area. Alternatively, foreground aquarium plants are also referred to as carpeting plants.(small close to the ground usually bushes or small plants.(weigela, moss)

- Midground aquarium plants are ideally aquatic plants that are placed in the midground at a medium height of a hardscape layout. These plants really help to fill in the central focal point of a planted tank.(Medium size plants(sunflower) or small trees(new oak tree))

- A background plant is a type of plant that provides a backdrop for smaller plants. A hedge can be a type of background plant design, if the hedge is lined with smaller flowers.(huge 200+ old trees dominating the forest)
