I do know that a conflict is the main problem in the story. Internal conflicts are things that happen to the character that impacts thier emotions. An external conflict is when the character is experiencing something that is impacting herself. I havent read the story yet, but i hope this will help

We also learn that Connie is dishonest, and she adopts different attitudes and personalities at home and elsewhere. The combination of these characteristics make Connie an individual, three-dimensional character.
