This a proportion. The 13.32 is 3/5 the cost so what you'd write first is
<u>13.32</u>=<u>3
</u>   x     5.      Now solve by first multiplying 13.32 by 5 and you get 66.6, and 3 times x. Now you have 66.6=3x. Now divide everything by 3 and you'll get x=22.2. The total is $22.20

13.32  = 3/5
1/5 = 13.32 / 3
1/5 = 4.44
Full cost = 4.44 * 5
= 22.20

Tristan records the number of customers who visit the store each hour on a Saturday. His data representing the first seven hours
Anna35 [415]
First we need to find the median of the data given. To do that, it should be in order:
12, 15, 18, 20, 23, 23, 28
So the median is 20

The only way to guarantee that the median doesn't change would be for the eight hour to have 20 visitors so the new data would be:
12, 15, 18, 20, 20, 23, 23, 28

Hope this helps!

The table shows the temperatures in degrees Celsius, y, inside a shed at x hours past noon. The maximum and minimum temperatures
kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

B

y = 3 cos (pi/12x - pi/4) + 17

Step-by-step explanation:

First find the average temperature which is 20 + 14/2 = 17

Find the amplitude

20 - 17 = 3

This means that that at noon, the shift is 3hrs past

the best equation that represents this scenario is y = 3 cos (\frac{\pi}{12}x - \frac{\pi}{4}) + 17
