Divide the total amount she has by how much she needs per batch.

When dividing fractions, flip the second one over and then multiply straight across.

9/10 / 1/4 becomes: 9/10 x 4/1

9/10 x 4/1 = 36/10 = 3 6/10 = 3 3/5

She can make 3 more batches and have 3/5 of a teaspoon left over.

A machine produces open boxes using square sheets of metal. The machine cuts equal-sized squares measuring 2 inches on a side f
docker41 [41]

Answer:

width  9''    length 9''

Step-by-step explanation:

2 " is cut off from both sides

so the base of the box will be a square

area * height = volume of box

side = x

height =2

2x^2=162

x^2=81

x=9 inches the side of the box

Volume =162

V=area*height      V= 81*2= 162

Complete the recursive formula of the arithmetic sequence 8, -5, -18, -31,...8,−5,−18,−31,...8, comma, minus, 5, comma, minus, 1
dimaraw [331]

The recursive formula for the arithmetic sequence is given as follows:

  • d(1) = 8.
  • d(n) = d(n - 1) - 13.

What is an arithmetic sequence?

In an arithmetic sequence, the difference between consecutive terms is always the same, called common difference d.

The nth term of an arithmetic sequence is given by:

a_n = a_1 + (n - 1)d

In which a_1 is the first term.

The recursive formula for the sequence is given by:

a_n = a_{n-1} + d

In the sequence 8, -5, -18, -31,...8,−5,−18,−31, the first term and the common ratio are given as follows:

a_1 = 8, r = 13

Hence, the recursive sequence is given by:

  • d(1) = 8.
  • d(n) = d(n - 1) - 13.

Chris used 45 meters of fencing to enclose a circular garden. What is the approximate radius of the garden,rounded to the neares
kobusy [5.1K]
The length of the fencing corresponds to the length of the perimeter of the garden:
p=45 m
We also know that the perimeter of a circle is given by:
p=2 \pi r
where r is the radius of the circle.

Putting together the two equations, we have
2 \pi r = 45
from which we can find r, the radius of the garden:
r= \frac{45}{2 \pi}= \frac{45}{2 \cdot 3.14}=7.17 m
