8n = -3m + 1
n = -2, 2,4
first add -2, 2 and 4 which = 4
then do 8(4) = -3m +1 which makes 24 = -3m +1 so subtract 1 on both sides then you have 23 = -3m divde -3 on both sides which equal -7.66 or 8

I'm thinking you want us to solve for m when n=-2 and 2 and 4

let's solve for m first
minus 1 from both sides then divide by -3
m=\frac{8n-1}{-3}

so for n=-2
m=\frac{8(-2)-1}{-3}=\frac{-16-1}{-3}=\frac{-17}{-3}=\frac{17}{3}
when n=-2, m=17/3

for n=2
m=\frac{8(2)-1}{-3}=\frac{16-1}{-3}=\frac{15}{-3}=-5
m=-5 when n=2

for n=4
m=\frac{8(4)-1}{-3}=\frac{32-1}{-3}=\frac{31}{-3}=\frac{-31}{3}
m=-31/3 when n=4

Anna wants to factor the polynomial p(x)=5x^4+40x. She knows that the sum of cubes formula is a^3+b^3=(a+b)(a^2−ab+b^2).
Artemon [7]

Answer:

Part A:  Option 2, A: Anna’s answer is incorrect. She correctly factored out 5x, but incorrectly identified a and b, so her answer cannot be correct.

Part B:  Option 3, B: 5x(x+2)(x^2−2x+4)

Step-by-step explanation:

p(x) = 5x^4 + 40x

p(x) = 5x(x^3 + 8)

p(x) = 5x(x + 2)(x^2 - 2x + 4)

Part A:  Option 2, A: Anna’s answer is incorrect. She correctly factored out 5x, but incorrectly identified a and b, so her answer cannot be correct.

Part B:  Option 3, B: 5x(x+2)(x^2−2x+4)
