How many moles of oxygen gas are produced from the decomposition of six moles of potassium
GREYUIT [131]

From the equation, 32 equiv dixoygen gas evolve from 1 equiv chlorate.

You started with 6 equiv chlorate, and thus 9 equiv dioxygen gas are evolved. This is a common undergrad experiment. I think you need to add some sort of manganese oxide catalyst.

Which equation expresses newton's 2nd law of motion
Effectus [21]
Newton's first law of motion predicts the behavior of objects for which all existing forces are balanced. The first law - sometimes referred to as the law of inertia - states that if the forces acting upon an object are balanced, then the acceleration of that object will be 0 m/s/s. Objects at equilibrium (the condition in which all forces balance) will not accelerate. According to Newton, an object will only accelerate if there is a net or unbalanced force acting upon it. The presence of an unbalanced force will accelerate an object - changing its speed, its direction, or both its speed and direction.

Speculate about some of the possible consequences that a great and prolonged increase in explosive volcanic activity might have
Romashka [77]
There are currently a number of active and erupting volcanos. I believe that they are contributing to global warming and man is also contributing to global warming. We are already seeing melting of polar ice and polar bears are being threatened because their environment is changing and they are having a difficult time adapting. I come from Hawaii which has an active volcano. The volcano is located on the island of Hawaii where it has already claimed hundreds of miles of homestead. It is also flowing into the ocean. I live on the island of Oahu and often times the volcanic ash (called Vog) is carried over in the southern winds. The most serious affect is on the lungs and eyes. I have trouble breathing when Vog comes and I feel fatigued. I believe long term volcanic eruptions will change our world for the worse along with other contributors to global warming.

Suppose that on a dry, sunny day when the air temperature is near 37 ∘C,37 ∘C, a certain swimming pool would increase in tempera
ioda

Answer:

The fraction of water body necessary to keep the temperature constant is 0,0051.

Explanation:

Heat:

Q=m*Ce*ΔT

Q= heat (unknown)

m= mass (unknown)

Ce= especific heat (1 cal/g*°C)

ΔT= variation of temperature (2.75 °C)

Latent heat:

ΔE=∝mΔHvap

ΔE= latent heat

m= mass (unknown)

∝= mass fraction (unknown)

ΔHvap= enthalpy of vaporization (539.4 cal/g)

Since Q and E are equal, we can match both equations:

m*Ce*ΔT=∝*m*ΔHvap

Mass fraction is:

∝=\frac{Ce*ΔT}{ΔHvap}

∝=\frac{(1 cal/g*°C)*2.75°C}{539.4 cal/g}

∝=0,0051
