In Article I, Section 10, Clause 3, states are forbidden from keeping a standing army or navy. Why would the Constitution restri
kiruha [24]

Answer:

Option A is the right answer.

Explanation:

The constitution was implemented in such a manner that no state shall impinge upon the centralized powers of the Union Government.

Founding fathers have prohibited the use of standing army during the time of peace as it would affect the liberty of the nation. Federalists feared that the states would become tyrannical if the standing army is allowed by it. Hence, the founding fathers have mentioned in the constitution that the congress have the powers to raise money and appropriate funds for standing army for not more than two years.

Anti-federalist favored standing army as it would safeguard the security of the citizens. But federalists felt that it would alarm the liberty and freedom of the nation and hence constitution allowed standing army but only during the time of peace it must be disbanded.

Which president do you think was better Thomas Jefferson or Monroe doctrine and why?? How come? Pls answer full words and make i
myrzilka [38]

Answer:

They were both great presidents, but I'm going to side with James Monroe. President James Monroe had the best foreign policy for the United States in the early 1800s. A policy called the Monroe Doctrine was issued by President James Monroe in favor of the new Latin American states, which warned European nations to honor the independence of the former colonies of Spain. The Monroe Doctrine created a strong nation in the United States, able to stand up for its own rights and that of its neighbors. Monroe’s policy showed how strong and independent the U.S was, but it also supported others who were seeking independence. The Era of Good Feelings was a name for President Monroe's two terms, a period of strong nationalism, economic growth, and territorial expansion. Since the Federalist party dissolved after the War of 1812, there was only one political party and no partisan conflicts.

DochEvi [55]

Hello. You did not enter the text to which this question refers, which makes it very difficult to answer it exactly. However, I will try to help you in the best possible way.

As you showed that the word "author" in line 10 was used as a proper noun, we can consider that the same word in line 4 was used in a general way and did not specify an exact person. This is because proper nouns are terms used to specify something or someone, as the question states that the word "author" was not used with the same meaning in line 4, we can consider that this is the difference.
