Which of the following graphs represents a function?
kirza4 [7]

The third graph represents a function.

In a function, every input (x value) has <em>exactly</em> one output (y value). If even a single input has zero or two outputs, the graph does not represent a function.

A good way of testing this is using a vertical line. As you move a vertical line from left to right across a graph, it should always be touching exactly one point on the graphed line.

In this case, every graph fails this vertical line test except for the third graph, so the third graph represents a function.

Hey can you please help me posted picture of question
ICE Princess25 [194]
The answer is true.

Method 1:
The given function is a cubic function. And inverse of a cubic function is also a function.

Method 2:
Since the function is one-to-one function i.e it passes the horizontal line test, its function will pass the vertical line test which is a test if a relation is a function or not.

So, yes the inverse of G(x) will be a function.

How to find the median on a dot plot?
pickupchik [31]

Answer:

In order to find the median of the data you take every value and order it from least to greatest. When you do this make sure you write a number the correct amount of times. for example if there are 4 dots above 6 on the dot plot then you need to make sure you write 6 4 times. After you have all the data from least to greatest find the number in the middle. that is the median.
