According to James-Lange theory, emotions occur as a result of psychological reactions to events. In other words, receiving an external stimulus leads to the physiological response.

In this case, the attractive (therefore, we would consider her sexually attractive) will be a stimulus for the man. He would fee emotional and sexual arousal. Thus, he would think that he is also attractive, following the theory.

He would try to speak with her about any topic, based on this psychological trap – he would think that he likes the person while just feeling a sexual attraction.

wariber [46]

Answer:

The Framers of the Constitution believed that the ideal size of government for preventing what they viewed as the worst inequality is:

d. The Framers believed the ideal government would be large enough to provide protection for the individual liberties of all through the development of large military forces.

Explanation:

Protection of individual liberties was the main aim.  This is reason that the Constitution provided for a republican federal system of government.  This system implies that power ultimately should come from the people, who are duly represented by their representatives.  With the required representation and separation of powers, liberty will be ensured for all.

Why were the European dictators popular with the people?
belka [17]

Answer: They promised the people military success.

Explanation:

Dictators build their rhetoric on an aggressive policy towards the alleged enemies of their state. Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini used this concept during their reigns. Dictators create militant societies and promise the people that their goals can only be achieved if they are united in war times. In their speeches, they often use the rhetoric of war, and point out to their people that they are in danger from others.

How does the author’s discussion of code-breaking contribute to an understanding of Grotjan’s skills?
mario62 [17]

Answer:

In understanding Grotjan's skills, the author's discussion of code-breaking revealed that coded messages are made up of numbers and letters in a pattern. Each of the symbol in the pattern usually represent a letter. Whenever the machine moves, a letter tends to move and a symbol stands out for something different. This makes such code difficult to solve, decipher and decode.

In order to break the codes, cryptanalysts use guess work. They try out a combination of letters.

For example, in cracking Japan's diplomatic coded messages, cryptanalysts used a combination of letters from this Japanese popular saying: "I have the honour to inform Your Excellency".

They tried out a combination of letters through guessing.

Explanation:

Grotjan's discovery in World War II led to the development of a Purple Cipher machine which was built by SIS and the U.S Navy. It was used to read and decode Japan's most diplomatic messages. People saw the breaking of Japan's diplomatic coded messages as a "magic".

"Cracking Code Purple" is an informational text written by Ann Ouchychy. It reveals the impact of Genevieve Grotjan, a female code breaker during World War II.
