Sponges move huge volumes of water through their bodies every day. Although this serves the function of filter feeding for the o

rganism, how might this also provide an “ecosystem” service (something that affects and/or benefits other organisms in their environment)? "which one below is the right answer and why?" a/ They can filter small poisonous fish out of the water that may harm other organisms. b/ Their body chambers serve as places where smaller organisms can live and be protected from certain predators. c/ They produce large numbers of gametes that will become food for other sponges. d/ They create small currents in their microenvironment that help to circulate and clean water locally for other organisms.

Contractile vacuoles are organelles that are responsible for excretion function. They perform osmoregulation which manages wastes, water and other needed materials in the cell. They are found in some prokaryoric organisms like the algae, protists, amoeba and other unicellular organisms.

intracytoplasmic iron ganuakes can be seen as anither distinct morphologic appearance of copper deficiency true or false
Tom [10]

Answer:true

Explanation:thats true because copper helps in transport of iron from cells and therefore increase in the intracytoplasmic iron may indicate a decrease in copper

Copper is basically maintenaning the iron gradient of the cell and therefore the whole body ,decrease in copper may lead to increased iron accumulation in the cell and less utilization of it as well hence disturbing the process of heme synthesis.

Helppp it’s really important
Elza [17]

Answer:

option (a) because....,

Each chromosome is made of protein and a single molecule of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). ... Chromosomes are thread-like structures located inside the nucleus of animal and plant cells. Each chromosome is made of protein and a single molecule of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)

option (b) not because,

Within that centrosome there are two centrioles. And centrioles are physical objects made up of things called microtubules.

option (c) not because....,

Centromere repeats in humans are made up of alpha-satellite DNA, a ∼171 bp sequence or monomer that is iteratively repeated. Alpha-satellite monomers are arranged head-to-tail and organized into repeated arrays called higher order repeats (HORs) that range from 0.2 to 5 megabases (Mb) and are chromosome specific.

not option (d) because...,

Centromere repeats in humans are made up of alpha-satellite DNA, a ∼171 bp sequence or monomer that is iteratively repeated. Alpha-satellite monomers are arranged head-to-tail and organized into repeated arrays called higher order repeats (HORs) that range from 0.2 to 5 megabases (Mb) and are chromosome specific.

6. Energy is stored in the form of food.<br><br> Photosynthesis<br> Respiration<br> Both
MArishka [77]

Answer:

Respiration

Explanation:

Food energy is chemical energy that animals (including humans) derive from food through the process of cellular respiration. Cellular respiration may either involve the chemical reaction of food molecules with molecular oxygen (aerobic respiration) or the process of reorganizing the food molecules without additional oxygen (anaerobic respiration).
