Oliga [24]

Answer:

The correct option is C) As cells become more numerous, the amount of required growth factors and nutrients per cell becomes insufficient to allow for cell growth.

Explanation:

During the process of growth of a cell, it requires adequate amount of nutrients and growth factors to develop all the complex organelles and right growth size of the cell.

As the cell number increases, the nutrition required for these cells begins to deplete. This acts as a signal for the body to produce more cells. Once the nutrients and growth factors become abundant again the cells starts its process of growth again.

Explain the difference between prezygotic isolating mechanisms and postzygotic isolating mechanisms.
anastassius [24]

Answer and Explanation;

 • Prezygotic isolation is a type of reproductive isolation that occurs before the formation of a zygote can take place. In most cases mating does not even occur. Forms of prezygotic isolation include spatial, behavioral, mechanical and temporal isolation.
 • Postzygotic isolation on the other hand occurs after members of two different species have mated and produced a zygote. Forms of postzygotic isolation includes; hybrid sterility, hybrid inviability and hybrid breakdown.
 • Therefore; Prezygotic isolation prevents the fertilization of eggs while postzygotic isolation prevents the formation of fertile offspring.
